If you’re looking for instructions on how to check your Vat number, we’ve got you covered! This post will show you step by step how to find it via your Enquiry page on HMRC’s website, along with the other information that they store there.
All you need to do is follow the steps below and fill out the form. Once completed, a copy of your Account Summary will be emailed directly to your inbox; reading each section carefully should also familiarise you with any errors that may have been made in previous months.
Step 1: Go to https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hmrc-tax-and-duty.
Step 2: Click ‘Enquiry’ in the top left of the screen.
Step 3: From the drop down menu, select ‘Account Summary’.
Step 4: This will take you to a page where you can review your account details and start querying the data. At the top of this page, you will see an option to view your Vat number and Tax code; once you have found that information, click on it and it will take you to another page where you can retrieve that information as well as view any errors that have been made reporting for that month.
