Pakistani sales tax

It wasn’t until November of 1990 that the country of Pakistan enacted a national sales tax. The Federal Board of Revenue is in charge of administering it. In addition, the four provinces of Pakistan have the authority to charge a service tax.

Should you register for Pakistani sales tax?

Businesses that sell taxable goods and services must register for sales tax.

In Pakistan, except for specified products and services (see sales tax rates section)
Bringing products into Pakistan from outside the country
Sales of digital services delivered remotely
Manufacturing, importing, retail, wholesale, service providers and exporters are all included in the above list of business types and entities. Retailers are required to meet specific registration requirements.
