This is the formula to use for calculating VAT without including any value for value added tax (VAT): divide the gross amount by 1.15 + the VAT percentage, then subtract the gross amount, multiply by -1 and round to the nearest value (including eurocents). Due to the fact that you can already see the VAT value before completing these actions, they aren’t required to be completed.
Adding VAT to net amount:
It’s a cinch. For example, if VAT is 15%, multiply the net amount by 1.15 if you want to know the gross amount. Alternatively, you can calculate the VAT value by multiplying the value by the VAT %.
