The formula for calculating VAT exclusions is as follows: To calculate VAT using the gross amount, divide the gross amount by 1 + VAT percentage (i.e. if it is 15%, then divide by 1.15), then deduct the gross amount, multiply by -1, and round to the nearest figure (including eurocents). It is not necessary to perform the following two processes because you may view the VAT value before you conduct them.
Incorporating VAT into the final total:
It’s no problem at all. When VAT is 15%, simply multiply the net amount by 1.15 (i.e. multiply by 1.15 if VAT is 15%). Alternatively, you can calculate the VAT value by multiplying the value by the VAT %.
