$300 One-time Payment to Seniors is Coming This Year?
In 2021, the Canadian government introduced a one-time payment for seniors as part of retroactive financial assistance to help overcome the pandemic’s impact. Originally set at $500 annually, the payment was adjusted to $300 in 2022. Administered by the Employment and Social Development Team, this one-time payment is now integrated into CPP and OAS benefits. Additionally, disabled individuals will receive an extra $300, making their total one-time payment $600. These funds are separate from monthly paychecks and will be distributed by the end of the fiscal year through CRA benefits.
