What kind of font is used on a Kentucky driver’s license?

Updated on August 6, 2022

I like their font better than Times New Roman, but I can’t find anything that tells me what font it is. Anyone know?

  • I’m looking at my license now….

The normal text (name, address, dob, etc) looks very similar to Arial font.

But the word “Kentucky” looks similar to Lucida Handwriting.

    Hope this helps!

  • That’s a lot of poor answers, all assuming that the one who asked the question. It’s possible they liked the font and wanted to use it elsewhere. I’ve seen many fonts that wanted to identify for web pages, not for forgery.

Most likely one that cannot be forged. If I remember correctly all states use certain “Things” to keep folks from attempting to forge a license. If you manage to fake one and get caught I doubt it was worth the effort it took to forge the license to begin with.
